Six Things That Make Me Smile

Sorry I haven't been bloggin' in a while, I was SOOOO busy! But here I am now, and after realising that I've been tagged by a heap of people, I'll do this thingy. So, the rules are: (I've copied and pasted them)

If you are tagged write a post on your own blog about this saying six un/important things which make you happy. Then you need to link to the person who tagged you and tag six blogger people of your own. Then let them know that you've tagged them, perhaps by leaving a comment on their blog somewhere or by email. Simple. If you don't want to post on your own site, or don't have time, then just add a comment on to mine here. I won't mind if you don't link back to me, it's just a bit of fun, so don't worry about it if you don't carry it on!!!

So, 6 things that make me smile...hmm....mine's probably just gonna sound like everyone else's, but here it goes....
(in no particular order)

1. Friends+Family: I dunno what I'd do without them. Everyone knows how special it feels to be hugged by family and friends. Plus, they're fun and hilarious and can turn a frown on my face upside down!

2. Reading: I loooooooooove it!!! Doesn't matter what - a book, a magazine, a restaurant dinner menu, just as long as I can read it. Reading is amazing - you can really dive into the pool of stories and be emotionally moved.

3. Daydreaming: You can be anyone and anywhere. Fill your head with ideas, dreams and drama and make it as far from he truth as you want without spending a dollar.

4. Shopping: I guess this also includes makeup and fashion. It's fun looking for the perfect accessories/notebook/shoes/lip gloss. OR running into little shops and trying on dresses that are waaaaaay too expensive. After all, one day you'll be $rich$.

5. Seeing other people happy: It just really puts me in a good mood knowing someone else is enjoying themselves, laughing without a care in the world...

6. Bloggin': Yep, the world of bloggin' madness is somehow attaching itself to me, eating away at my homework time....

Well, that's it! I actually did it. I don't know WHO to tag, since pretty much EVERYONE has been tagged! Well, if I tag you and you've already done, don't stress.

So I tag:

1. Jessica at http://thecollegelifeilive.blogspot.com/
2. Jewels Diva at http://www.jewelsdiva.com.au/
3. Nic at http://pinknic-uk.blogspot.com/
4. Dazzy at http://dazzy-funspot.blogspot.com/
5. Sasha at http://www.the-sweet-bonjour.blogspot.com/
6. Beanie at http://beanieology.wordpress.com/

La Eurovision!

Hi guys! Firstly, as you may have noticed I am not very good at coming up with titles, so don't mock me. OK just saying, in case you haven't noticed, I got my own bookshelf on my blog! But the silly thing won't display all my books at once, so hit 'next' to see all my other books. Of coarse, these ain't ALL my books (I have a heap more) so yeah.

Sorry if I sound a bit grumpy but On Sunday I went to bed at 12 and then had to get up at 7am so I'm still kinda tired. "Why was that cherry-obsessed girl up 'till midnight?" you may ask. Well, I'll tell ya. I was watching Eurovision with my family. Did anyone else watch it? Eurovision is this show where all these countries from Europe chose a singer and then compete. It's like Austalian Idol or something, but it's all in three days.

I watched the semi-final on Saturday and the final on Sunday. Last year Russia won, so this year it was in Moscow (Russia's capital) and that's another reason why we should watch it because my family is actually from Russia, but we live in Australia. Betcha didn't know that, eh? You can hardly notice my accent though, and I'm a real chatterbox in both Russian AND English. I speak Russian at home.

Anyway, I'm getting way off the point. So. Eurovision. The Russians made a pretty big show of it, but it was pleasant to watch. Norway won. They had a really good song and the guy performing it was pretty cute so I say they deserved it. If you wanna watch it go to You Tube and type in 'eurovision 2009 norway'. Some other countries that were good were Azerbaijan, Ireland, UK, Croatia, Estonia and some other countries I can't remember. The Russian performance was shocking though (in Australia is you say something was shocking it means it was really bad)! I mean no offence, but the woman was wearing something that looked like it was a dress made out of a curtain and shoelaces!!! Last year's was pretty good though. This dude called Dima Bilan sang it.

What else was I gonna say? Oh yeah, I got this REALLY cool new hoodie (sweatshirt, jumper, whatever you want to call it). It's a kind of rose pink and it says the clothing brand (Rusty) on the front with silver, sparkly letters. I'll show you a picture as soon as I find one!!!

So tell me what you think of all this!

Speaking of Cathy Cassidy... she's coming to Australia!!! I am cherrytasticly (my new word, cherry-tastic-ly) excited and completely CAN NOT WAIT!!! Eeeeeek! Sorry if I sound completely weird, but I am SO excited! (like I said before!!!)

☺Random Things That Are Making Me Happy☺

Random things have been happening lately, things that make me smile.
I wore pink leg-warmers to dancing.
I have purchased and read 'Angel Cake' by Cathy Cassidy and fallen in love with it.
I have made Angel Cakes to share with my family.
Mum bought me a groovy new school bag with really cool pink-and-blue bamboo sticks on a black background.
I flew a kite with my little bro.
I bought mum some special stuff for Mothers Day.
Mum won a Shea Butter products set from The Body Shop (she said it's the first time she EVER won anything).
I bought myself a piano ring from Diva.
I got a phone call from an old friend.
I dreamt really nice dreams.
I sat on the comfy sofa and daydreamed.

What's something that's been making you smile?

Blush-O-Rama

Hey guys, remember in one of my posts I said you can send me your cringe-worthy moments, and I'll pick the best ones to post in my new feature, Blush-O-Rama. Well, I got so many embarrassing stories, so I had to pick two. Here they are.....

1. I was with my friend Tamsin in the supermarket, and we were quite little, about nine, I think.Anyway, we were messing about with the trolley, but we lost control of it and ran straight into a shelf full of toilet rolls! We knocked every single one off. And if that wasn't enough, after we put them back, we started to make a den out of them. Making a roof and walls and little seats. Guess what? The whole lot came down again! That was pretty cringey!

2. Two weeks after I got my new dog, Mimi, I took it to my best friends house. She also has a dog, named Holly. So anyway, we took our dogs to the lounge room and started reading mags, then somehow Holly and Mimi escaped without us noticing. After a while, we heard a lot of barking coming from the study. Running in, we found Mimi corned by Holly. Then when I looked closer, I saw that Mimi was so terrified, she left a... little present on the beautiful, white fluffy carpet. My besties mum was shocked, and she still looks at Mimi really stiffly.
Mega embarro.

OMG!!!

If you have an embarrassing story, send it to me on glittercherryz@gmail.com
Can't wait to hear from you!!!

Snacks And Netball

So.....you are probably wandering how my netball match on Sunday went. It was SOOOOOOOO much fun!!! I was bench for the first quarter, but for the other three quarters I played Wing Attack, which is my absolute FAVOURITE position!!! No, we didn't win but who cares!!! Sorry, if you don't play netball this must sound very confusing to you, but netball is a VERY fun game. It keeps you active.
Every Thursday, all the under 13s netballers walk from school to the netball courts, stopping at the corner shop to buy chips. Then the training begins. Training is....well, it gets you tired. Unless of coarse on the way to training you also stop to by eight Sour Strips, which gives you enough sugar-energy.

Speaking of sugary snacks, yesterday I was bored so I decided to make up a new snack (I'm good at stuff like that-ask my friends). So anyway, you get chocolate Tiny Teddies (I'm not sure if any other country but Australia has them- they're tiny tiny tiny cookies in the shape of bears) and you sandwich them together with chocolate spread (Nutella) inside. Just remember that this is very sugary, sometimes food. These taste really nice with a glass of milk.

Also 'Angel Cake' by Cathy Cassidy has come out in bookshops in Australia!!!YAY!!!! It sounds REALLY good and I desperately want to read it!!! I have to wait 'till Friday to get it, because where I live you have to drive for an hour to get to a bookshop.

Cool Pics

Photos And Cross Country

Hi peoples!!! On Tuesday we had our school photos taken. I wanted to get my hair straitened, but my friend who's got the hair straighteners (Mum won't let me buy any) was sick so I had to stick with my curly, brown hair. Yawn. It actually looked OK in the morning, but then I made the big mistake of brushing it. I mean, it's not like I was gonna go to school with un-brushed hair, but still. As soon as I brushed it, my hair went all frizzy and uncontrollable. Waaaa!!! So I had to use a heap of hair products, but it still didn't look too good. Oh well.
So after the school and the class photos, the grade sixes (that's me!!!) had a special grade-six photo taken. I mean, this our last year of Primary School and we are the leaders of the school and everything. So, we had to go on the playground, and one of my friends and I had to sit with our legs crossed on a rail. SERIOUSLY uncomfortable position!!!Don't try it unless you have to.

And today (Friday) at assembly the teachers were announcing the new school and sports captains for the term, and guess who got School Captain. ME!!! That's right!!! So now I get to close the toilet doors every lunch! AND I get to make a small speech if anyone special comes to our school (i.e. a famous cartoonist or something). I love making speeches!!! But I was kinda hoping to get Sport Captain 'cause then I would've gotten to coach the netball team, but I'm still happy.

TODAY we had cross country. I badly hate it. We have to run........THREE KILOMETERS!!! Yes, I do hate running very badly. I don't mind it so much when I'm running away, but race or cross country-count me out. But we still had to do it and I got a MASSIVE stitch. We had to run from our school to the pool 9close to the school...but not close enough) FIVE TIMES. Oh, I hate it. But the main thing is...I actually did it. And I did it in twenty minutes. Not bad.
Sorry to moan and everything, but I had to let it out.
***

Oh, and also on Sunday we're playing netball against the other town so wish me luck!!!
